Lynn Pauley is an artist and illustrator. She was trained as a visual journalist. Her process is to travel to the site and record from life painting the scenes directly in front of her. She works primarily in series and also on a commission basis for private as well as individual entities.
Pauley's illustration work has appeared in a variety of nationally known publications as The New Yorker, Ladies Home Journal, Yankee and Men's Journal.
From 1991-1993, Pauley's expressive on-site drawings appeared weekly, accompanying articles for the New York Times Metro Section. She chronicled the bombing of the World Trade Center for PRINT Magazine, the destruction of the Murrah Federal Building in Oklahoma City for the New Yorker, and covered the Masters Tournament for Sports Illustrated.
Pauley holds a BRA from Syracuse University and an MFA from the School of Visual Arts. |
